Turkish vACC is proud to present our last event for 2011.

The Bosphorus or Bosporus (Turkish: Boğaziçi, Greek: Βόσπορος, Vosporos, Bulgarian: Босфора, Bosfora), also known as the Istanbul Strait, is a strait that forms part of the boundary between Europe and Asia.

It is one of the Turkish Straits, along with the Dardanelles. The world's narrowest strait used for international navigation, it connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara (which is connected by the Dardanelles to the Aegean Sea, and thereby to the Mediterranean Sea).

With all this uniq characteristics, Turkish vACC welcomes you to a great new year’s party over BOSPHORUS.

The event will be held on Tuesday 27 th of December 2011. At that day LTBA- Istanbul will be fully staff from 1900 until at least 2200 UTC.

Regardless to local traffic situation, randomly most pilots should expect to be sent into a hold at one of the published holdings around there prior to final approach.

Also expect RNAV Approaches for LTBA as real operations. For beter ATC service, if you can not perform RNAV please put “NO RNAV" into REMARKS of your Flight Plan.

So, better have your charts ready to enter and fly the hold and excecute RNAV for LTBA. But don´t worry, everything you need you´ll find in the charts - it's easy!
