Prahas Nafissian 1213976 Posted December 26, 2011 at 09:13 PM Posted December 26, 2011 at 09:13 PM Hi, I'm on old tech -- obviously. So for you old-timers: Can I get audio with this setup? XSquawkBox 1.0 XPlane 7.41 Mac OS 10.6.4 MacBook There is no "Setup Audio" choice in the plug in menu. But in preferences there is a "Push to Talk Key" choice. I set it to F5, but nothing happens when I use it. I tried later versions of XSquawkBox but X-Plane 7.41 can't recognize the plug-in. The .xpl file is a unix executable file (with the grey icon) -- the mac can't recognize it. (In 1.0, the .xpl file has the white and gold puzzle piece icon [MS Office shared library.]) 1.0 works fine otherwise -- just no audio. Thanks! --Prahas
Keith Smith Posted December 30, 2011 at 06:53 AM Posted December 30, 2011 at 06:53 AM Does XP7 actually support plugins? I'm going to guess that you need XP8 at least. XP9 is the oldest version that you can purchase today, and XP10 is currently in public beta.
Prahas Nafissian 1213976 Posted December 30, 2011 at 02:31 PM Author Posted December 30, 2011 at 02:31 PM Sure -- XSB 1.0 is a plugin, and works great. Just no audio. I may upgrade, but if anyone out there knows how to get that "Push to talk" feature working (in preferences) please advise... --Prahas
