Miguel Frias Posted January 10, 2012 at 02:39 PM Posted January 10, 2012 at 02:39 PM (edited) VATEUD Startup Guide for New Pilots (image courtesy Leader Enterprises) VATEUD is launching a small VATSIM introductory flight for training purposes. Anyone who is taking the first steps in online flight is invited to attend the session by observing the online flight and the basics required to connect online, communicate with ATC and navigate. And how does it work? Observers enter a Teamviewer presentation where an Instructor will be showing what are the essential things about flying online. Note that the purpose is not how to start up the aircraft, fine-tune an addon, or perform a specific approach. The goal is for new users to observe and learn the basics of flying online. A docomeent will be provided with information about several aspects that are considered essential to the online pilot. Observers will be able to pose questions at the end of the session and are encouraged to obtain the P1 rating as soon as they feel ready to take it. The session will take around 2 hours covering: - a brief explanation of VATSIM and its organization - checking of the docomeentation provided including necessary software, useful sites and VATSIM basics - small briefing of the flight (from where, to where, which route) - the flight itself (around 20 minutes) - debriefing and Q&A Candidates that are interested need to book a slot by sending me a private message with VATSIM ID, Name, email and desired availability from one of the following dates/times: WEDNESDAY, March 14, 1800z - 2000z (two hours) 3 slots available So, if you: - are familiar with a flight simulator - have never flied online - are somewhat new to phraseology - want to learn ... this is for YOU! After the basics, but still not sure to fly in crowded airspace, all pilots are welcome to fly when I am online in Croatian/LDZO and Bosnia-Herzegovina/LQSB airspace, and I will do my best to support you, as well will my collegaues who are in process of (ATC)training them selves, so it is win win! In this case, visit http://www.crovacc.org and http://www.vaccbih.org for necessary charts and sceneries and don't hesitate sending me PM if you have further questions Mirza Ibrahimovic | VATSIM Adria PR & Events Manager
