Board of Governors Roger Curtiss Posted January 13, 2012 at 05:02 AM Board of Governors Posted January 13, 2012 at 05:02 AM All of a sudden I do not have visible landing or taxi lights in the 2D cockpit view with any aircraft. They are there when I use VC view. I have made no recent changes to the files that would be the cause. Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted January 13, 2012 at 06:29 AM Posted January 13, 2012 at 06:29 AM Roger, Have you recently used an aircraft that has a yoke in the panel that is "clickable" to remove so you can see gauges? I found out that "click" does strange things to FS9. It took away some of my views. Can't remember if landing lights was one of them. Check in your FS9.cfg to see if see_self=0. It should say see_self=1. Here is the previous post I submitted on it. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=58961 I doubt this is your issue, but you never know. Another thought as I was typing, in your settings how many lights have you selected to be displayed? Some aircraft require a setting of 8, but that is not the default FS9 setting. Board of Governors Roger Curtiss Posted January 13, 2012 at 06:46 PM Author Board of Governors Posted January 13, 2012 at 06:46 PM Thanks Randy. The SEE_SELF setting was at 0 and I changed it to 1. The # of lights was showing 6 and I made that 8. Not sure which of these made a difference but the problem is solved. Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted January 14, 2012 at 07:03 PM Posted January 14, 2012 at 07:03 PM Glad I could help, Roger. Lord knows I've come here a ton of times trying to get my own issues solved. Feels good to return the favor... Now, if only the voices in my head would leave me alone... Randy Randy Tyndall - KBOI ZLA I-11/vACC Portugal P4 “A ship is always safe in the harbor.
