Mario Pozzetti 892293 Posted December 17, 2004 at 03:16 PM Posted December 17, 2004 at 03:16 PM Hi guys, I’ve been having a very nasty problem with the auto pilot for the last few days. I’m using V7.62 on Windows XP Pro and it has worked perfectly until now. After a few minutes into the flight, the speed indicator freezes, the SPD button stops working, the IAS decreases and (of course) the aircraft goes into Stall. I disengage the SPD button and then push the throttle levers to compensate but it’s a lot of work because e I have no IAS reading whatsoever. To make a long (rather sad) story short, after a while nothing works any more and the aircraft crashes. It is not, apparently, aircraft related, I tried with several. Nothing in my HW has changed except for the USB2 PCI card to which I have connected the flight controls (Yoke and Pedals) which have worked very well until now. I’m really at a loss here, so if anyone can help I would appreciate. Thanks. Mario Pozzetti LISBON XP-Italia Staff -GoodWay Team VATITA AIR 020 Imagination is more important than knowledge... Juan Castro 850361 Posted December 17, 2004 at 03:21 PM Posted December 17, 2004 at 03:21 PM Mario: I've experienced something like that with one particular plane, a B737-200. When I use it, I set up the autopilot, and once every systems anre engaged (except SPEED), y press letter D on the keyboard. That engages autothrottle and it works perfectly. I hope it helps... Mario Pozzetti 892293 Posted December 17, 2004 at 03:28 PM Author Posted December 17, 2004 at 03:28 PM Thanks Juan. The problem however is not that the autothrottle is not working, it's that it stops working after a while. In any case I will try your suggestion, it can't hurt Mario Pozzetti LISBON XP-Italia Staff -GoodWay Team VATITA AIR 020 Imagination is more important than knowledge... Paul Williams 907674 Posted December 17, 2004 at 05:10 PM Posted December 17, 2004 at 05:10 PM I had this problem in Flight Simulator aswell... It was cured by uninstalling some addon scenery that I had installed.. not sure about X-Plane though.
