Brian Reedy 1203627 Posted January 29, 2012 at 03:25 AM Posted January 29, 2012 at 03:25 AM Hey forum, I make videos about X-Plane (but I'm sure this could be answered by a MFSF user) and I was hoping to start making videos about Vatsim. I have run into a little trouble with the audio set up though. I use a headset as most do, so I have my audio preferences input "C-Media USB" and both outputs "C-Media USB" because I like my engine sounds and ATC separate. My screen recorder (iShowU) isn't letting me specify the output device, so it only allows me to record the engine sounds. When I set the output as "Built-in Output" it does record it, but it's impossible to hear over the engine. Should I simply change screen recorders? I'm on an iMac so that limits my possibilites. Any help is greatly appreciated! I feel this is appropriate in this category because this is about video and the category is screenshot. If there is a better place to put it, let me know. Semir Gebran Posted January 29, 2012 at 10:22 AM Posted January 29, 2012 at 10:22 AM With Windows or Linux, it is possible to set Audacity to capture whatever a device is outputting, you just need to set the device to be captured. Audacity is free. /Semir
Etienne Perle 1213378 Posted January 29, 2012 at 08:57 PM Posted January 29, 2012 at 08:57 PM I've never actually tested Audacity for recording (thanks for the tip Semir!), but it looks like Audacity is available for Mac as well: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_mac Etienne
