Hi everyone

VATUK offers pilot training and P1 certification. This training is ideal for new members of VATUK who want to learn a little more about the organisation and how to courteously operate their aircraft in UK airspace. It is also the perfect opportunity for more experienced pilots to learn something new which may make your experience with us that bit more enjoyable.

The process broken down:

  • Make sure you are in the Europe Region and UK Division, check your account status by typing your CID into this webpage: https://cert.vatsim.net/vatsimnet/statcheck.html

  • If you are not in the Europe Region please use this webpage to make that change: https://cert.vatsim.net/vatsimnet/regch.php
  • To move into the UK Division use this webpage: https://cert.vatsim.net/vatsimnet/divas.php
  • You will be alerted when this change is completed.
  • Go to rts.vatsim-uk.co.uk and login using your CID and p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word.
  • Join the “Pilots” RTS.
  • You will receive an email from the Pilot Training Manager outlining the training process within 48hrs.
  • Once logged in to the RTS system, in the student dropdown select “session management”
  • Join ONE Introduction to P1 group mentoring session - if you are unable to use voice please do not do this, but instead email the pilot training department so we can make alternative arrangements
  • Follow these instructions to get set up on Team Speak: http://www.vatsim-uk.co.uk/website/teamspeak/ - if you are unable to use voice please skip this step
  • At the allotted time (given in the RTS system or by email) please meet us in the designated place (more often than not the "Pilots" room on the VATUK Teamspeak server).

We are running an introduction evening tomorrow between 20:00 and 21:00, so please come along. Please note at this time we can only offer training to members of the UK Division.
