Francisco Leandro 1218752 Posted February 13, 2012 at 11:20 PM Posted February 13, 2012 at 11:20 PM Hi, i started a few days ago flying on vatsim, after reading all the content of the PRC, i was really excited and after solving all fsinn installation problems, i finally logged on on Vatsim. I started my first communication requesting a simple radio check as it was recommended, and the controller only said: "last transmition, you were unreadable..." and every other times i tried communicating, they always said something similar... They know i'm trying to communicate, but the can't even understand my callsign... I have allready tried my microphone on skype and it worked flawlessly, so i'm now desesperate... PLZ HELP!! Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted February 14, 2012 at 05:32 AM Posted February 14, 2012 at 05:32 AM without knowing whether its too high or just distorted, a little hard to figure out which way to go. check your microphone volume, make sure its not too loud and not too low. you can adjust the volume from the FSFDT control panel, the thing that looks like a traffic signal. also change it to wave format in the dropdown list there as well

Miguel, i'll write in english since we are in an english speaking forum... i requested sunday a membership on Portugal's vacc, don't know if i need that to visit the training department... i'll try to log on today at about 21h30Z, since its supposed to be there more controllers to try to solve this... it's really annoying after buying the headsets and preparing everything not to be able to communicate... Thanks for your replies

Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted February 14, 2012 at 07:19 PM Posted February 14, 2012 at 07:19 PM Francisco, next time you are online, just ask the controller, theyll tell you whether you sound too loud or whether there is too much background noise you can also test it by just muting your flightsim sounds and then try transmitting, if they hear you better, then its the background noise
