Harold Rutila 974112 Posted February 16, 2012 at 12:15 AM Posted February 16, 2012 at 12:15 AM I am wondering if there's a way by which controllers are able to distinguish between an aircraft with a non-GPS equipment suffix and the opposite. The reason is because when /A aircraft, for instance, depart Denver, we either clear them direct to the first fix on the DP, or we have to give them a vector to intercept the DEN VORTAC radial to join the DP. If they're /A or have some other non-GPS equipment, pilots generally will not accept a "direct to" instruction because they know they need to join the radial. Ross Carlson Posted February 16, 2012 at 12:53 AM Posted February 16, 2012 at 12:53 AM Again I would suggest the abbreviated flight plan option. Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
