Harold Rutila 974112 Posted February 16, 2012 at 12:18 AM Posted February 16, 2012 at 12:18 AM Is there a way to distinguish between an aircraft whose cruise altitude is above the TRACON ceiling and one that is below the TRACON ceiling? The Denver TRACON ceiling is FL230. Therefore, if someone files for 16,000, we're only going to issue a climb to 16,000 and not our ceiling. Without opening the aircraft's flight plan, is there a way for us to know that?
Ross Carlson Posted February 16, 2012 at 12:52 AM Posted February 16, 2012 at 12:52 AM You could use automatic scratchpad entries, or you could enable the option to display the requested altitude in the data block. Or you could use the option that shows the abbreviated flight plan when you init control.
