Dominik Trybuchowicz 11337 Posted March 4, 2012 at 02:23 PM Posted March 4, 2012 at 02:23 PM Hello guys! Some time ago I have decided to re-attempt my tries with setting up a config file for FSEarth Tiles and it worked! Since then, wherever I fly I try to have about 30x30nm airport surrounding nicely covered with photoreal scenery. However, the biggest problem is with the seaside (or lakeside) destinations. If I wanted to cover an island or any seaside area with the photorealistic scenery using FSEarth Tiles I would have water substituted by the picture resulting in this area not being water anymore (I hope you know what I mean). Solution to this is the contour lines around the shore marking the coast and another one marking where the deep water starts. I tried doing these using Google Earth, but whenever I download the tiles and it comes to this part it says something in the lines of 'Area KML Coordinates Error'. I have done some research and I have found that these lines don't work when done in Google Earth 6.0 version. So, I downloaded the older version and installed it over the newer one (I have installed the older one without previously uninstalling 6.0 version I have to admit; in control panel it is shown as the older version 5.2.1.1588 though). I tried doing these lines again but they wouldn't work at all (the same problem as before; nothing has changed). To confirm my problem I have used Elba island Area KML which is originally included in the FSEarth Tiles rar and these work perfectly. I really don't know what I am doing wrong! It is frustrating because it is a very nice tool, but absolutely useless when it comes to water surroundings. Has anyone got any clues what could help? Any help would be highly appreciated. Does nobody have a clue what I am talking about or is it just that you do not know how to help me? Maybe I haven't made it clear enough what I want to achieve?
