R. Squawk ranges

 

Public endpoint to pull all VATEUD allocated squawk ranges.

The endpoint is of the type: `http://api.vateud.net/squawks` + `format type extension`

 

Examples:

   http://api.vateud.net/squawks.json   => returns all squawks in JSON format
   http://api.vateud.net/squawks.xml    => returns all squawks in XML format
   http://api.vateud.net/squawks.csv    => returns all squawks in CSV format
   http://api.vateud.net/squawks        => returns all squawks as HTML (part of the API web interface)

You may have noticed that currently most European charts are no longer available in the API.

 

The reason is that EUROCONTROL terminated the arrangement to provide EAD Charts database access to our upstream provider charts.aero.

If you find the charts API service useful and want to keep it around, I urge you to take action and join the lobbying efforts by publicizing your support on twitter, facebook and other social media outlets. The "Tweet to Eurocontrol" button on the charts.aero page might be particularly useful, as Eurocontrol maintains active daily presence on twitter.

 

Please spread the word around and let us try to make a stand for the benefit of the flight simulation community. Resources like charts.aero are useful for everyone in our hobby, not only for VATSIM.

Wow, the amount of work put into this is incredible.

I hope to use it in the near future, just need someone with some better coding skills than me do to the designing!
