Stephan Mett 916016 Posted December 18, 2004 at 07:15 PM Posted December 18, 2004 at 07:15 PM Dear all, as a rookie a question to join the community: After having started SB I try to connect to VATSIM. Without succsess: above mentioned message appears with following text: "attempt to connect was forcefully rejected" Is there anybody out there who can explain me what did I wrong? Thank you in advance. Stephan Best regards, http://bav.vatools.com/pilotinfo.php?pid=0784&bg=a320
Paul Williams 907674 Posted December 18, 2004 at 07:19 PM Posted December 18, 2004 at 07:19 PM The IP Address list in SB is very out of date. One server that you can connect to is: 80.249.98.88 Type that into the Server Address box. (Although that may not be the best one for your location.) If you can connect to the above IP okay, then you are fine Paul Williams (907674) - VATUK Controller & Pilot Essex OBS to TWR Mentor | Essex Crib Sheet Author & Maintainer Essex Radar Trainee | VATPAC Validated
Dave Weese 817228 Posted December 19, 2004 at 04:14 AM Posted December 19, 2004 at 04:14 AM Read the PDFs that come with the full software package on the vatsim site or look at the PRC, there is one there that tells you how to update your server list. Norman Blackburn Posted December 20, 2004 at 10:16 PM Posted December 20, 2004 at 10:16 PM Stephen, Before connecting, click on the dropdown box of servers. Is 80.249.98.88 UK-1 in that list? If it is then you have updated the list albeit it sure doesnt sound like it. If not you need to make sure and save that ipaddr.txt into your squawxbox folder.
