Poker Run 2013!

 

It is time once again for the much anticipated vACC Philippines Event of the Year! Yes, Lipad Haring Agila 2013 Poker Run is here!

 

This year, we are taking the Poker Run to the North and featuring the following airports:

 

RPLL (Manila)

RPLS (Sangley, Military)

RPLB (Subic Bay)

RPLC (Clark)

RPLV (Magsaysay, Military)

RPLI (Laoag)

RPLP (Legaspi)

 

Event Details:

 

Mark your calendars! On 24Aug2013 1000ZULU-1500ZULU, the virtual skies of vACC Philippines will be fully staffed for your flying pleasure. Come fly any way you want – IFR, VFR, heavies, single pistons, helos and everything in between. Just be sure to bring plenty of avfuel because we intend to stay until the last hand is dealt and Until a Lipad Haring Agila 2013 Poker Run winner is proclaimed!

 

Event Rules:

 

1. Registration is highly recommended to help us plan the event.

 

2. The event begins at 1000zulu and ends at 1500zulu. Pilots starting or ending a flight outside of these times are not eligible to receive a card.

 

3. The number of card decks in play shall be determined by the number of participants.

 

a. <7 pilots – 1 deck

 

b. 7-14 pilots – 2 decks

 

c. 15-21 pilots – 3 decks

 

d. 21-28 pilots – 4 decks

 

4. A pilot shall receive a card for each completed flight.

 

5. After receiving 5 cards, a pilot has the option to discard two cards. To receive additional cards, a pilot must complete another flight.

 

6. A flight is defined as time spent in the air, with different origin and destination airports.

 

7. Standard poker hands shall be used to determine the winner of the event.

 

8. The highest hand at the end of the event shall be declared the winner.

 

9. Time acceleration is not allowed and is grounds for disqualification.

 

10. Changing callsigns and aircraft during the event is allowed.

 

11. Pilots must obey ATC instructions at all times. Failure to consistently obey ATC is grounds for disqualification.
