Many things have been affected by this. Promotions, Region/Division transfers, site access and registration, written tests, etc... Updates on the progress have been being posted in the NOTAMS and General Discussion boards of this forum. As the USA site failure is due to the VATSIM outage, as soon as VATSIM servers are back in business, so will we. Please be patient and understand that the problem is being worked on and when back up, we will work hard to get everything caught back up. As many folks have noticed, the VATSIM data services maintenance had an issue that has delayed the restoration time of the services. Flying and ATC on the VATSIM servers are unaffected, but roster adds/deletes, transfers, promotions, etc. have all been affected. ARTCC staff are unable to log into VATUSA and perform roster updates, exam [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ignments, etc. The VATSIM IT team is working as fast as they can to restore services. Regular updates are being provided at viewtopic.php?f=1&p=450030#p450030 As soon the VATSIM Data Services are restored, we'll be back to full functionality as well. This has never happened before, and we all thank you for your patience. Logins to VATUSA via VATSIM Data Services have been restored and stable for at least 30 minutes. Hopefully that remains up and the rest of the services keep coming up. The big bear, as I understand it, was restoring the VATSIM databases, which was the gateway to our logins. Progress is a good thing! The next test will be the restoration of the databases that sync rosters. That may take some more work. More as we get it! If you believe your rating change was processed immediately before the VATSIM Data Services went down, they should all hit by 22Z tonight. If you were waiting for your training staff to be able to log in and process a rating change, they may now do that. We're getting there! Now we just need to catch up on the backlog and we should be back in full swing.
