Steven Rogers 901202 Posted December 19, 2004 at 02:58 AM Posted December 19, 2004 at 02:58 AM I recently sent a form in on the VATPAC site, to be trained as a student ATC. I never recieved a reply to that e-mail nor to the several others I have sent after. Is somethig wrong with the server, or should I just send the form again? I have already done that 2 days ago and am awaiting a reply. And I feel I don't need 50 observing hours as I have about 40 real life hours. Beverley Howard-Smith 8396 Posted December 19, 2004 at 10:07 AM Posted December 19, 2004 at 10:07 AM Great you have had real life experience. Part of p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ing through the first stage is understanding how the programme works. Without that all the pre-knowledge is useless. Good luck with it all. Steven, Matt missed out the important part of the 50 hrs. From the VATPAC site: As a general guideline, if you are new to the on-line environment and have no real world aviation qualification then you should have: A minimum of 50 hours on-line as a Pilot/Observer before considering the ATC role. I forgot you were a real pilot I remember helping you setup . BTW has AVC been fixed or are you still getting them errors??? Steven Rogers 901202 Posted December 21, 2004 at 05:34 AM Author Posted December 21, 2004 at 05:34 AM No, AVC still isn't working, though I'm sure it's the firewall. Going to open some more ports I found in the ASRC manual tonight. Hopefully that'll work. And yes, I'm now nearly a student ATC!! Just trying to figure out how to use ARSC properly.
