And I feel I don't need 50 observing hours as I have about 40 real life hours.

Matt missed out the important part of the 50 hrs. From the VATPAC site:

 

As a general guideline, if you are new to the on-line environment and have no real world aviation qualification then you should have:

 

A minimum of 50 hours on-line as a Pilot/Observer before considering the ATC role.

yes sorry steve but its very rare a lot of time to get real pilots/ATC around as thats why we can use flight sim. I forgot you were a real pilot I remember helping you setup . BTW has AVC been fixed or are you still getting them errors???
