Just wondering if someone can recommend a VA which best simulates the RW Lufthansa Airline? I cannot find one in the Vatsim VA partners.

Even they do not call themselves as a Lufthansa VA, this group is not a bad one. Good luck and have fun.

Are there any others? This one looks very demanding. RW commitments would preclude the kind of involvement in a VA like this.

I find it rather surprising that an airline like Lufthansa doesn't have many virtual counterparts.

The reason for that might be strange in our eyes. But the 'Deutsche Lufthansa AG' officially does not allowed the existence of any virtual airlines. In the past I heard that Lufthansa even has special employees searching for VA's using their brand and sue them.

The funny thing is that they don't do anything against the Swiss VA or Austrian VA although both RW airlines belong to the Lufthansa Group.

Interesting! I belong to http://www.jetva.co.uk/, and they get around this by avoiding the branding while mirroring the operations of the airline. I know it can be a delicate process, and it seems that LHFSPILOTS does this, but I just don't have the time to invest in an operation like theirs, though maybe when I retire someday.

Also, it seems that LHFSPILOTS requires 100 hours in a non-default aircraft. I don't have any payware aircraft and I don't plan on getting any in the near future. Their website is not clear whether freeware (Posky, Project Airbus, etc.) would fulfill this non-default requirement.

Anyway, thanks for the info.
