Thomas Merle Posted September 14, 2013 at 01:22 PM Posted September 14, 2013 at 01:22 PM Hello, After searching in this forum without luck (some matches but without a solution to our problem), I would like to report a problem we are struggling with, on some routes. I'll give you two examples which are poisonning controller experience The first is for flights using UN615 from northern UK. Here is the example of SWR391 from EGCC to LSZH : Euroscope simply goes direct from HON to LSZH Ways I've found to recover a good route is either to disable HON (so we completly forget about UN615) : or to add LOVEL wpt on UN615. Adding an other wpt beetween HON and XAMAB won't do the trick The second example is for traffic coming from UK via UN859 to BCN (in Spain) VOR : Here is how it should be : We obtain the right route by adding "PUMAL" in the middle of UN859. Why ES is going backward on UN859 toward BCN in UK, which is NOT on UN859 ? Of course airways.txt is updated, and we have been experiencing this for ages If someone could explain to us why ES is behaving this way, and if we can do something in its configuration to avoid this, it would be great Thomas Merle
Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted September 16, 2013 at 09:52 AM Posted September 16, 2013 at 09:52 AM It seems ES has a problem with finding the correct VOR in the airways.txt. Because of that it simply tries to continue the route extraction or uses a wrong airway in the process. The bug if forwarded to the beta forum. Thomas Merle Posted September 16, 2013 at 05:50 PM Author Posted September 16, 2013 at 05:50 PM Thanks Todor. If needed I have a simple scenario to reproduce this, as well as the configuration. Thomas Merle

Gergely Csernak Posted October 5, 2013 at 09:49 AM Posted October 5, 2013 at 09:49 AM Unfortunately (or fortunately) with the latest beta they are no more reproducible. Both examples works fine with the expected route extraction. Actually there was a fix back at 01/01/2012 that changed the priority of the found fixes. Prior that the closest one were selected, but after that the one that can be connected with the given (or not specified) airway has the priority. That is surely the case at BCN. The one selected is closer to SITET than the one along UN859 at Barcelona. Gergely. EuroScope developer

Glad to hear it is corrected, hope you will find some time to finalize this new version Thomas Merle
