Shell scripting and expect - looking for help

Hi all, anybody good with shell and expect scripting?

 

What i need is a script which connects to a server, checks some conditions and basing on the conditions does some actions.

 

The target would be something to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist in managing server connections which now are a quite tedious hand made process, as sometimes the server connections "lock up" for no really known reasons and stop exchanging some informations abou the connections they are managing, so the connection needs to be taken down and reconnected, automating this process at least partially would be a great improvement in data availability.

 

If anybody is interested in investing a couple of hours of time and has the knowledge let me know via PM or email.

Hi Luca... Expect is based on Tcl. It allows to remotely access a server for instance and execute commands based on EXPECTed output. Give me a ring...
