I'm [Mod - Happy Thoughts]uming there's nothing that you can do about this, but the pilot time shows 0 or nothing for a lot of pilots. Also, is there a way to find out if a pilot is currently suspended?

Hi everyone, It is likely that this information will be deprecated shortly, with the introduction of the VATSIM API. (this will provide the JSON feed and other information that you want - al

Also, is there a way to find out if a pilot is currently suspended?

https://cert.vatsim.net/cert/vatsimnet/idstatus.php?cid= (CID Here)

eg:

https://cert.vatsim.net/cert/vatsimnet/idstatus.php?cid=971630

If Suspended, rating will say Suspended, as it is a rating.

https://cert.vatsim.net/cert/vatsimnet/idstatusprat.php?cid=971630

Should be fixed too... (thanks to Kieran Hardern)

Yep, all good!

the pilot time shows 0 or nothing for a lot of pilots.

Shows timings for all ratings, updated once a week (IF the user connected during the previous week).

And that means the user you are looking for hasn't connected for quite some time...

I might think of forcing an update for ALL users once, but it already takes a lot of resources to make it for the couple thousand who connect so i need to find a way of doing it in small steps..

That is not true. I've tested it on a few very active users and either nothing is returned for pilottime or it returns 0. I do not mean rating, I mean hours that a pilot has flown.

That is how the system is expected to work, so either you send me a couple of IDs to test it on or we can go on for a looong time saying "YES!", "NO!"...

ok sorry. my mistake. while fixing the atc by rating stuff i broke the pilot times updates, didn't get you meant only pilot times were missing.

I'll try to fix it in the next couple days.

99 little bugs in the code

99 little bugs.

Take one down,

patch it around,

117 little bugs in the code.

(If only it worked that way with the beer, too, eh? )

pilot times not updating SHOULD now be fixed.

I forced an update right now (on users online last week). Next one as the ATC by ratings once per week, if the user has been online.

Let me know if you find problems.

Thanks, Luca

If you're ever in the Kansas City area, I'll buy us 99 beers and we can start hacking away at VATSIM code. We'll see which one gives up first; the beer, the bugs, or us.

i suspect in this order the bugs, the beer, what's left of us... if we are not at least somewhere near 10 people...

oh wait, that depends on the standard under which we define beer

Already reported and answered in this thread:

Hi Luca,

Afraid doesn't work for me. I was S3 before upgrading to SUP and since promoted to C1 and C3. Above link showing as S3 still.

Phillip

no way for it to work, your promotions were set using non standard text blocks.... as it's not a numeric number we store but something i have to take from text comments i can't fetch it right... If somebody needs your previous rating they'll have to set it by hand... Sorry

Hello everyone!

Sorry if's been discussed but won't be useful if add something like this:

<LastLogged>
  <ATC>
     <Callsign>UUWV_CTR</Callsign>
     <DateTime>01.01.2015 15:40:12</DateTime>
     <Rating>11</Rating>
  </ATC>
  <Pilot>
     <Callsign>GLP1015</Callsign>
     <DateTime>01.01.2015 15:40:12</DateTime>
  </Pilot>
</LastLogged>

Luca/Kieran,

Any chance we can extend idstatusint and the related scripts, to allow a comma separated list of CIDs? We often use it to update member info between core CERT updates and it'd be more beneficial to be able to do these in batches of say 10/20/50, whatever.

Thanks,

Anthony

This one is great and we are using it. However, is it possible to add a date/timestamp tag in it which reflects the last time the data was updated? So that we can put a footer on the page that says "Last updated on June 29, 2015 [1200z]".

Hello,

is it possible to add an output parameter to the url to receive e.g. a JSON result?

At present, that isn't processed so no we cannot just add it in.

This API will be superseded this year. I'm therefore avoiding making any new features on this old system.
