VATEUD PTD Seeks Instructors and Examiners

Due to the exceptional growth of VATEUD’s Pilot Trainig Department, we are looking to recruit additional Pilot Training Instructors and Examiners. If you would like to become part of a dynamic team and a member of VATSIM’s largest ATO, please submit your application with a short CV without delay.

 

Requirements for Instructors are as follow

 

- At least 500 hours of flight time on VATSIM

- Having exceptional skills of flight simulator software as well as virtual or real world aviation

- Able to complete the training of at least 2 new pilots per month and have these students enroll for the P1 rating

- Able to conduct and complete at least 2 pilot rating trainings per month and have the respective pilots complete the relevant examinations

- Must have a clean VATSIM record

- Have a good knowledge of the VATSIM CoC and CoR

- Must have the patience to deal with students of all types

- Must be a good team player and have an interest in helping members

- Fluency in English is mandatory and languages other than English is advantageous

- Having an ATC rating is not mandatory but preferable

- Having all relevant pilot ratings is not mandatory but preferable. If the candidate does not have the required ratings, they will receive instruction and examination on all ratings VATEUD offers before being enrolled as a instructor

- Instructors will report to the VATEUD Senior Flight Instructor

 

 

Requirments for Examiners:

 

 

- Must have a good VATSIM record

- Must be able to devote time and conduct at least 5 examinations per month

- Must have at least 750 hours of online flight on VATSIM

- Must have knowledge of VATSIM CoC and CoR

- Must have a good knowledge of VATSIM and real/virtual aviation

- Having all relevant pilot ratings is not mandatory but preferable. If the candidate does not have the required ratings, they will receive instruction and examination on all ratings VATEUD offers before being enrolled as a examiner

- Must be a good team player and have interest in helping members

- ATC rating of S3 or higher is preferable

- Examiners will report to VATEUD3 and VATEUD11

 

The closing date for applications will be 31 Decemeber 2013 at 23:59H Zulu.

All interviews will be conducted on VATEUD Teamspeak at an arranged date and time with each candidate.

I would like to reinforce the above. If you know how to fly, are a fluent VATSIM member and can help even if just one pilot at once that'll be great. Remember that we are not all invested with the power of knowledge and some people are slower to learn than others.

 

Even if you can commit to help out only at certain periods (like Xmas, Easter or vacations), that will already help us a lot.

 

A certified pilot is one step further on having a more qualified VATSIM and reduce problems overall.
