Seeking Partner Airports February 8th for Sarajevo'84 WOR

Dear vACC,

 

vACCBiH's greatest annual event, Sarajevo'84 Winter Olympics Rush - RE-WINDED, is this year going bigger and live from Sarajevo, the 1984 Winter Olympics Capital, celebrating 30 years anniversary of the Sarajevo'84 Winter Olympics.

 

The vACCBiH team will together with vACC teams from the neighborhood and other guests, gather for a interesting weekend consisting of educational trips to the BiH aviation sites, including Sarajevo Airport and ATC as well skiing on the slopes of the Winter Olympic Mountains of Bjelasnica and Jahorina.

 

But most important, being online live from Sarajveo (from a top cl[Mod - Happy Thoughts] Olympic, location soon to be revealed) with support from RL Sarajevo ATCos on Saturday, February 8th, morning to evening (expected 05-22z) for our annual event Sarajevo'84 Winter Olympics Rush - RE-WINDED.

 

Not only the location it self, but event the table setup has roots in the Sarajevo'84 Winter Olympics, having 12-32 ATC positions. Here is a preliminary sketch/idea (not to scale):

 

 

A known popular tradition for the event is to have partner airports as inspiration for pilots to fly to or from Sarajevo during that whole Saturday.

 

The only requirements are:

- to staff the agreed airport at the agreed time (any time during the day can be offered, expected time frame is 05-22z),

- for a agreed duration (min. 2 hrs, preferred 3 or more for better flow on return flights),

- with at least a APP and CTR (for covering the enroute aswell).

 

Full staffing is preffered, and note that this has big promotional value for the partner airport vACC as well, as the vACC will be mentioned at our events page as a official events partner.

The entire day, traffic flew to and from Sarajevo from the Partner Airports.

For now 17 ATCos have confirmed their arrival, and a lot of non ATC guests are asking how many friends they may bring with them.
