Have you been wanting to know what's different about Australian airspace and procedures? Or are you new to VATSIM and just want to know how to logon? Well our Newbie Night is the place to start! Newbie Nights will be held at regular intervals and are specifically targeted at new pilots who want to learn the ropes in a relaxed environment, with mentors available to help you through setting up, and completing your first online flight. Each Newbie Night will be held twice, once midweek and again on the weekend in order to allow as many people as possible to attend. We strongly recommend installing Teamspeak, which is voice chat software. VATPAC has it's own Teamspeak server and we use it extensively for chat and training. You can find everything you need to know about installing Teamspeak here. Our first Newbie Night pair will be on Thursday, March 6th, 7:30pm AEDT and Saturday, March 8th, 3:30pm AEDT. As always, there will be plenty of fellow pilots and staff members to chat to, who will be more than willing to help out.
