Michel Labarre 999985 Posted February 25, 2014 at 04:10 AM Posted February 25, 2014 at 04:10 AM I fly with FS9 and windows 7 64 bits. Do I need an acars software to join a virtual airline or is there a way to use the vatsim data to file for the flights? If so, how is it done? If an acars is needed, is there one that works with FS9 as all I see out there seems to be for FSX. With my thanks in advance for any information. Christopher Liu Posted February 26, 2014 at 01:13 PM Posted February 26, 2014 at 01:13 PM VATSIM data isn't 100% reliable (and obviously requires you to fly online) so most reputable virtual airlines will require some variety of ACARS (they'll usually specify which one but the most common ones are kACARS, FSACARS and XAcars), although some of the less professional ones just have forms for you to fill or e-mail. Most ACARS software uses FS UIPC so they're FS9 and FSX compatible. Proud supporter of Intercity Airways, visit www.ViaIntercity.com
