As many of you have seen in the latest NOTAM email, I have made the very hard decision to step down from the post I have held for almost 2 years because of commitments in my life. I would like to take this chance to thank all colleagues I have worked with during these years, as the co-founder of VATPRC, as the Deputy RD of Asia and, and last but not least, as the RD of Asia. All of you have taught me so much about this network and became a great mentor for my professional growth, both and in real life. To our members here in the Asia region, thank you all for your continuous support and shaping our region to what it is today. During the 6 years I was in the regional office, I oversaw the establishment of 2 new divisions, namely VATPRC and VATWA, and they are still steadily growing today as with other divisions , thanks to the hard work and effort of our dedicated members. I certainly hope that will continue to be the case after my departure, with our consist endeavors to uphold the values of the network and to adhere to regulations of VATSIM. My departure here does not indicate a end to my staff duties here on VATSIM. During the upcoming months, I will [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume the role of Director of Hong Kong VACC and to the help restructure a new management there. I will also be instructing new controllers in that group. It will certainly be a great pleasure to spend more time at the local level to collaborate with our controllers and do what we all enjoy to do, controlling and flying in our blue sky. Finally, Anastasios, our Deputy Director of the region, will [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume my former role as the Regional Director until a new RD is appointed by the Board of Governors.
