I changed from lousy onboard sound to a Sound Blaster Z card (much better). However, I ran into a similar problem I was having before where, on load XSB (64) isn't setup yet. Trying to set it up there fails and I get just static played back on the mic setup.

As per a previous solution, I loaded the 32-bit X-Plane which should load the 32-bit XSB (which worked before). However, now that won't work any longer. On every load I'm told XSB couldn't load and looking at the log file I see these cryptic entries:

XSB WARNING: could not open ICAO docomeent 8643 at /X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/XSquawkBox Resources/Doc8643.txt

XSB WARNING: could not open related.txt at /X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/XSquawkBox Resources/related.txt

XSB WARNING: we failed to find XSB's custom lighting texture at /X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/XSquawkBox Resources/lights.png.

Anyone have any idea?

I'd like to find where XSB stores its darned data so I can just manually put in the right settings. This is one of the main reasons I find X-Plane to be more h[Mod - Happy Thoughts]le than it should be at times.

I had to delete the VATSIM in Plugins. Not sure why that gets created or when. Once I deleted it, I could get 32-bit to load and set up my audio. Now all seems fairly solid for now (the XSB still crashes X-Plane 10 every so often).
