CPDLC Route Generator

Working with one of my devs on another project is a form that outputs below the input fields for a copy+paste CPDLC style clearance.

 

This only does the clearance for use in PM's to the pilot.

 

Not the highest tech but functional.

Mh, I am not sure for what kind of system this will be as the CPDLC system is way more complex and it's not only about a clearance? Can you explain a little bit more?

As in the description it's only the route generator. Not a full system.

Nice, Brian.

 

A few thoughts:

 

1. "Current Time" returns nomenclature of "EXPECTED DEPARTURE TIME". Suggest changing "Current" to "EDC".

2. Selecting MOBIE3 returns a value of TFD2

3. For those not in ZAB, or in the case of an updated procedure where this system isn't updated in time, suggest adding a selection of "RNAV" which returns a value of "(RNAV)". Very generic and flexible.

I released it mostly as a base for ATC groups to edit/tweak as they need.

 

The PHP is pretty simple to tweak to a particular facilities SID/STAR's.

 

The SID's STAR's are a simple edit to customize.

Very nice! Two things:

 

1. You have two "cleared from"s. Based on the output, I'm guessing the second one is suppose to be "cleared to".

 

2. Pre-departure clearances are technically not part of CPDLC, rather they are sent via a link to the airline. They don't even have to show up on a display in the cockpit - at Brisbane Airport in Australia, Qantaslink (regional arm of Qantas) Dash-8 aircraft receive PDCs via a receipt printer in the terminal building. Perhaps "PDC Generator"?
