Robert Bucci 1283772 Posted March 31, 2014 at 05:24 PM Posted March 31, 2014 at 05:24 PM Ok, I installed Xsquawkbox, installed the latest version. I'm running X-plane 10 on W7, 64b. Ok so I can click on Squawkbox in the plug in drop down menu in X-plane, set stuff up. I can also see my position in VATSIM. When I dial up the correct frequency, I get the log-in rights message of VATSIM. But I can't hear any controllers or they can't hear me. In fact doesn't sound Like I'm going out on Com 1. I've been using FSInn with FSX for a while and had used squawkbox with FSX too but had issues with it. My computer is set up. Also when I click on the "Audio setup" in Xsquawkbox drop down menu in X-plane, it causes X-plane 10 to crash 100% of the time. I'm guessing I need to get to that menu to adjust voice/sound in Xsquawkbox but can't access the menu. Any ideas? Cheers, Rob
Mike Burke 1145825 Posted March 31, 2014 at 09:53 PM Posted March 31, 2014 at 09:53 PM In your main X-Plane folder there should be a Log.txt file - if you could post the last bit from there (there likely will be a message about it crashing) and post that via pastebin.org or something similar, we can take a look. Another thing to try is starting up X-Plane in 32-bit mode and setting the audio that way if it will let you, then exiting normally and restarting 64-bit. That worked for me when I had a similar issue.
Robert Bucci 1283772 Posted April 1, 2014 at 06:22 PM Author Posted April 1, 2014 at 06:22 PM That doesn't work either. Still crashes in 32 bit when I click on the set-up Audio of xsquawkbox. Can I just paste the log file on here for viewing?

Can I just paste the log file on here for viewing? You can, just may want to include only the tail portion if you have an idea where to cut it off - it can be thousands of lines if you have a lot of plugins. Fred Michaels 1137645 Posted April 5, 2014 at 05:09 AM Posted April 5, 2014 at 05:09 AM Honestly, a lot of us have that occur on a somewhat regular basis...at least from different comments I've heard over the past several months. -Fred Deputy Air Traffic Manager Miami vARTCC - United States Division (I1)
Robert Bucci 1283772 Posted April 5, 2014 at 06:48 AM Author Posted April 5, 2014 at 06:48 AM That's a drag then. So I can only use X-Plane on IVAO then.
Fred Michaels 1137645 Posted April 5, 2014 at 07:47 AM Posted April 5, 2014 at 07:47 AM No, didn't say that...try disabling other plugins to ensure there are no conflicts as a start. -Fred Deputy Air Traffic Manager Miami vARTCC - United States Division (I1)
