I´m in a big dilema, I have introduce a friend of mine to FS world, and now, I cann´t help him. I don´t know what does he does, or what button does he touch, but whatever aircraft he chooses, it started with the left engine running. I will appreciate any guidance. T.I.A. Craig Moulton Posted February 22, 2006 at 03:25 PM Posted February 22, 2006 at 03:25 PM His start up situation is obviously the problem. Have him start FS, set up his aircraft the way he wants it (either eng running or eng shut down). My suggestion would be to use the Default Cessna initially, set everything the way he wants it (radios, lights, other switches), then press the ; (semicolon) key and type in a name for the start up scenario (My Start, for example). Be sure that he puts a check in the box that says "Make this the default flight" and click Ok, or Save (what ever it is). From that point on, when he starts FS, it should be set. Fly Safe! Have Fun! Edward Shannonhouse 890145 Posted February 22, 2006 at 03:35 PM Posted February 22, 2006 at 03:35 PM Make sure that FS is controlling all engines press E, 1, 2, 3, 4 to make sure you're doing all engines. PS - From memory, don't got FS at work.
Xavier Van Nieuwenhuyse 81 Posted February 22, 2006 at 06:03 PM Posted February 22, 2006 at 06:03 PM What always works when having only one engine running: - 'Ctrl-Shift-F1' to shut down the engines - 'Ctrl-e' to automatic startup all engines - as said in previous posts, save the situation, and make it the default flight to avoid: When on a multi-engine aircraft you type 'e' and than '1' you select only engine 1. When you push or rdeuce trhust, only engine 1 will react. to recover (as said in previous posts but with this addition): - type 'e' and very fast after having typed the 'e', type fast one after each other: '1' '2' for an aircraft with two engines, and up to '3' for 3 engines, up to '4' for for engines. Stuart Guberman 897696 Posted April 11, 2006 at 03:22 PM Posted April 11, 2006 at 03:22 PM Cntrl-Shift-F1 is technically the "Fuel Cut-Off" shortcut. Student
