Ryan Geckler Posted May 4, 2014 at 07:08 PM Posted May 4, 2014 at 07:08 PM I've got my St[Mod - Happy Thoughts]t plugged in with my PTT USB adapter and I'm unable to talk or receive with the device. It appears in the dropdown list but gives off no response when I calibrate it. The error response that shows up is Results: SpeechDrownedOut with a Squelch of 1. I've never had the issue with SB or FSInn, so I'm confused on why it's happening now. Any thoughts? Ryan Geckler Posted May 5, 2014 at 12:36 AM Author Posted May 5, 2014 at 12:36 AM I'm setting RControl as the button; it's the device itself that doesn't put out any sound. Ross Carlson Posted May 5, 2014 at 12:51 AM Posted May 5, 2014 at 12:51 AM Got me stumped ... haven't had any other users report this problem. And the core voice code wasn't written by me ... it's the same VVL code that other clients use, which is why this is so strange, since you said it works in other clients. Ryan Geckler Posted May 5, 2014 at 01:12 AM Author Posted May 5, 2014 at 01:12 AM And for some random reason, it's working again. Probably something on my end, but I'll let you know if it comes up again. Michel Beaulieu Posted November 10, 2014 at 08:57 PM Posted November 10, 2014 at 08:57 PM Tried as much as I could to get this vpilot to work, constently get UDP not initialized and SpeechDrownedOut no and my mic IS turned on. Works fine with Squawkbox. My opinion: If you cannot make it to work if not better at least as good as Squawkbox, don't even bother offering it !! Board of Governors Don Desfosse Posted November 10, 2014 at 11:50 PM Board of Governors Posted November 10, 2014 at 11:50 PM Michel, as thousands of other members have successfully used vPilot without such an error message, it's hardly fair blaming the program. Must be something you are doing or your setup. And I will absolutely agree; your attitude is a real turnoff to folks who are usually very helpful trying to help other members find and fix issues.
