Sorry if this is the wrong place in the forum to be posting. First of all with most missions I do not get real airfields (As seen in the video. Also I in the second part of the video where I show the mission it does not show a run way as it is suppose to. And in the third part of the video that is supposedly an airfield in England.

The photo below also also shows that none of my airports are actually real airports( I have just filtered out for united kingdom in this photo as it was easier to show these are not Gatwick or Heathrow) Also in the video the last clip shows one of these air fields and if I go on flight plan it does not display this airport in the UK. What ever has happened to my FSX is making it really hard since I can not see airports for visual approaches in missions.

Thank you.

Once again sorry if I have put this in the wrong place

Have you added any scenery addons recently...or made scenery changes on your own with a scenery editor?

Looks to me like your scenery files were either deleted or corrupted. I would do a "repair" by placing disk 1 in and then going through the menu.

I cannot see anything wrong with the country. They are shown as belonging to the UK as they are one of the British Overseas Territories.

I think you will also find other small territories that are administered by France for example shown as France.

But I have no main airports and I have repaired my FSX 2 times and it still has not fixed the scenery problem. This is the error I get when I start up FSX http://prntscr.com/3hdxn4

Thanks

That one is a bit of a bugger. If I remember correctly, that specific error comes up if you have deleted add-on scenery that you did not uninstall first. Do you recall deleting add-on scenery without uninstalling? I believe you can go into FSX and go into your scenery library and deactivate any scenery you think you may have deleted. One other thing you can do to troubleshoot, if you don't recall deleting anything, is deactivate all your add on scenery and reactivate them one by one until you get the same error again (or conversely, deactivate one by one until the error goes away --depends on whether you have a lot of them or not which method is smartest).

That said, I'm not sure that will solve your issue of messed up UK scenery (but I've seen stranger things happen).

I'd start by doing that. At least then you can isolate the issues, and maybe even solve them both.

The easiest and quickest fix to such bizarre FSX errors is mostly reinstalling it, unfortunately repair has done me no good in my limited experience. Not to sound so negative, if you get it fixed the way Don suggested, props to you, but if not, you might save yourself some trouble to go through with the 4 or 15 hrs install, depending on how much add-ons you have, than to have to struggle with this for more days, just saying.

Yeah, Charan's most likely right. I was just hoping, since the troubleshooting I tried would likely take an hour or less, vs. a reinstall, depending on how many add ons you have installed, could take a lot more, that my method would work. But then again, I always seem to be rooting for the underdog

You could always have a look in the scenery.cfg file to check if for obvious errors and if scenery0 7 is actually there. Also look in the Addon Scenery folder to check if anything is missing.

Its a text file so easily edited (make a backup copy first).
