New ES Voice Cummunication Setup list is blank

Hello all. I am in VATCAR Division and [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned to TBPB - Grantley Adams. I performed a complete uninstall of the earlier release of ES and even cleaned out the MyDocomeents\EuroScope folder.

 

a) I installed v3.2

b) I copied (an unmodified, archived copy) of the Piarco FIR folder - which contains a Settings.TXT file - into the MyDocomeents\EuroScope folder

c) I started v3.2 and pointed it to the ..\Piarco FIR\Piarco FIR.prf

d) Using 'OTHER SET' menu selection ... 'Settings files setup', ALL settings were redirected to the correct Settings.TXT file

e) I can connect to Vatsim with no problem

 

HOWEVER!

 

f) Voice communication setup list display (pressing the headphone icon) is blank

g) Voice ATIS Setup Dialog has a problem... "Unable to extract function name from URL" when the TEST URL button is pressed.

h) After connection to Vatsim, "Error: No file to play item 'TBPBinfo'. The extracted URL is... http://vacchun.hu/td/esmetar.php?tlcond=100,1013,110&metar=$metar(TBPB)&arr=09&dep=09&app=ILS&par=1&info=A&lvp=2

 

The Text ATIS and multiple record ATIS is:

I have verified (via VatSpy) that I am connected as GND and ATIS although the frequencies show SET UP channels

 

QUESTION(S)

 

Has anyone else done a clean UNinstall of the v3.1 with and new INSTALL of v3.2 and encountered this or a similar problem?

 

Where does ES get the Voice Communication Setup List display data from? Is it installed with the installer? Is it from the FIR files?

 

The ATIS URL is different in this NEW version from the previous version.

 

 

Hope someone can help sort this out.

An empty voice communication setup list makes me think that your ese-file is properly configured. Is it in the same folder as the sectorfile? Has it the same name? Perhaps you try to reload the sectorfile using "OPEN SCT > Load Sector File".

 

The problem with the voice ATIS is almost solved by yourself. Just use the old link and your ATIS should work again as before. It shouldn't be necessary to use a new ATIS link.

Select the Other Set/Settings files setup. It opens the dialog that shows what sections of the settings are saved to what file. Check the Ground to air voice channels. Open that file if it has a content like this:

Ok. Good news! I copied the old Settings.TXT file (which I had saved onto the desktop before removing v3.1 and installing v3.2) into the MyDocomeents folder, pointed ES Settings to it and all is well again...

 

The old (v3.1) settings.txt file had the following (RELEVANT) entries...

The settings.txt file that was installed with v3.2 referred to a different ATIS Builder URL - AND - had the 'blank' VOICE/END sections...
