David Malinowski 1087539 Posted May 15, 2014 at 05:11 AM Posted May 15, 2014 at 05:11 AM Hello all, It's been a long, long, long time. I'm doing another suggestion thread to see what controllers and pilots are looking for in terms of updates to be included in the newest update. I last did one in 2011-2012, and there was a smaller, minor update going around the forums for a limited time. I'm going to be handcuffed with real world stuff but I'm hoping to crank something out by August at the latest. Among changes so far, I'm working with VATSIM Brazil to update some airports and work out the new boundaries in their FIRs to release on a much wider scale. I'm waiting on just fine-tuning them, but for the most part, that part of the project is already done. These boundaries will be the most current, as of Spring/Summer 2014. Anyway, include any ICAOs or FIRs you want updated/changed/added and if applicable post or e-mail me any coordinates for boundaries at dmm200(at)aol.com. We're hoping to release this one as version 1.3. Happy simming! Mark Wolpert Posted May 17, 2014 at 09:28 PM Posted May 17, 2014 at 09:28 PM (edited) Add a column showing the aircraft type on the All Flights and Pilots pages. No value at all other than for interest. I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume this is easy to add as it is already available on the map when hovering over an aircraft. Also, estimated time of arrival (and time left) based on current speed. Edited May 17, 2014 at 09:43 PM by Guest

Wygene Chong 1089621 Posted November 20, 2014 at 01:16 AM Posted November 20, 2014 at 01:16 AM Hi! Not sure if an update is in the works, but when one is I'd appreciate the Reykjavik CTA getting an update. Since I am not 100% sure how the layout is coded at the moment, I will try to explain the main positions: BICC_FSS - covers both BIRD FIR and BGGL FIR with oceanic clearances, but only provides ATC in the north sector of the CTA. I would recommend showing it as covering the whole CTA just to make sure pilots contact BICC for oceanic clearance. BIRD_CTR - covers south, east and west sectors of the CTA with radar coverage (between Europe and North America), top down in Iceland and Faroe Islands BGGL_FSS - covers BGGL FIR below FL195 and top down all Greenland airports Full information is available here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=66507 A nice map is located here (page 27, sectors shown in green boundaries): http://ww2.caa.is/media/PDF/AIRAC_AMDT_001_2015_08_JAN_2015.pdf Thanks! The two .dat files in the Dropbox account linked in the text you quoted opened just fine for me in VAT-Spy version 1.0.3719.41261. Have you tried uninstalling VAT-Spy, ensuring all files in "%appdata%\VAT-Spy" are gone, re-installing VAT-Spy, then overwriting the two .dat files with those provided in the Dropbox account? Real world stuff has got me in a tad bit of a bind right now and I'm on a short vacation from university for the time being. I see there is still a ton of interest and around the spring time (where I am in the Northern Hemisphere at least) is when I can get around to most of this. Feel free to keep posting to this thread and I'll hopefully take care of all of these updates in a few short months. Happy flying!
