Hi, folks!

I'm new here, and I'm coming from IVAO hehe

I wanted to know where can I download sectorfiles for Euroscope. For example, for Boston Tower or something.

Thank you so much

Regards.

Hello and welcome to VATSIM,

First of all, in order to start controlling, you need to contact your division for ATC training. In VATSIM, you will need to be trained and get a rating in order to control certain positions.

I suggest you to contact VATUSA Boston ARTCC for further information, http://www.bostonartcc.net

Good luck and welcome again.

Also, Boston (and the vast majority of the US) uses VRC, so you'll want to download VRC and the Boston sector files and start getting familiar with VRC. If I remember correctly, there is a training guide for new controllers link to a "How to set up VRC" tutorial in the Boston forums.

You can choose your software client independent of the area you control in. There is no mandatory ATC client. Check both and see which you prefer.

Yes, that is true, but if the facility you choose does not offer support for the client you choose to use, you may well be at quite a bit of a disadvantage in that you have to learn how to generate sector files and learn the software all on your own, with no support from your home facility. I'm sure it can be done, but it's quite a hill to climb when you're new....

But for Boston Tower, if you choose to join ZBW PM me, as I made KBOS Euroscope files a couple of months back, and would be happy to share then with you if your heart is set on using Euroscope. Otherwise, as Don said, it would be advisable to use VRC as that's what all of us at ZBW use.
