Sanjin Okanovic 918475 Posted December 21, 2004 at 08:55 PM Posted December 21, 2004 at 08:55 PM *sigh* I have been playing with this thing for over 3 hours now, I read all the regulations, code of conduct, minimum requirements, etc. I tried to setup squawkbox but it crashed, and asked me to send the problem to Microsoft. I did everything the way the instructions said to do, I hosted a session, copied the IP started up squawkbox, searched for the session, found it, tried to join, and thats when it crashed. Can anyone help me out here please? This is my first time trying to set this up, so I am a newbie at it, please take it easy on me UAL176
Lennart Vedin Posted December 21, 2004 at 11:33 PM Posted December 21, 2004 at 11:33 PM There are some things that can go wrong even if you follow all instructions. Some of them are (I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume FS2004): - When asked to not enter any IP-address, do anyway enter 127.0.0.1 (thats the local computer address used by SBRelay). - Run FS in a window, and try run the external "SB Host.exe" not the in FS-menu HostSB.dll (some people have problem with HostSB.dll). - Don't run any anti-virus during install or play, you can scan computer for virus after disconnect. Open ports, In addition to the prc-docomeent. http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/sbrelay/help.html If you have a router or firewall, try forwarding the following ports to your PC's internal IP address (see above for help locating your PC's internal IP, see your router or firewall's manual for help with forwarding ports): * TCP 47624 * UDP 2300 to 2400 * UDP 6073 But I recommend do not use DMZ if you can, since it might open all ports. / Lennart Vedin /

Also I have another question, on the File Flight Plan, it says True Airspeed, how do I know what my true airspeed will be, I fly using Indicated Airspeed because on realism settings its on Hard. Someone please break this down for me, Its really confusing me... thanks UAL176
Lennart Vedin Posted December 22, 2004 at 09:10 AM Posted December 22, 2004 at 09:10 AM > how do I know what my true airspeed will be Myself I have not use any counting for this purpose. I just look ServInfo or Vatsim Visual Display to see my own normal true airspeed when I fly. True airspeed will be different depending if you fly low or high altitude. / Lennart Vedin /
