Todd Knutson 1169549 Posted June 25, 2014 at 08:34 PM Posted June 25, 2014 at 08:34 PM When I download vPilot, I get to the final screen during download. As soon as I click on finish I get a message " vPILOT has stopped working. If I try to open vPILOT from the desk top icon I get the same message. Any idea what's causing this? Flying is easy. Ross Carlson Posted June 25, 2014 at 08:37 PM Posted June 25, 2014 at 08:37 PM Check if there is a file called GlobalExceptions here: %localappdata%\vPilot If there is, email it to vatsim {at} metacraft {dotcom} Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Todd Knutson 1169549 Posted July 11, 2014 at 09:13 PM Author Posted July 11, 2014 at 09:13 PM Hey Ross! I don't know where I should look for that file. I thought my problem could have been due to gremlins in my computer compliments of a teenager plugging a friends thumb drive into our computer. A week later and after $79 to the computer repair guy I uninstalled vPilot and reinstalled, but get the same message. Todd Flying is easy. Landing is the trick. Ross Carlson Posted July 11, 2014 at 09:33 PM Posted July 11, 2014 at 09:33 PM The location is in my message above. Paste that into a windows explorer address bar, or the start menu search box. Todd Knutson 1169549 Posted July 12, 2014 at 12:25 AM Author Posted July 12, 2014 at 12:25 AM Yup. Tried that and got nothing. Tried the copy and paste after doing it by hand but my search still didn't work. The start menu search box doesn't recognize anything like that. Flying is easy. Landing is the trick. Scott Norton 1241275 Posted September 30, 2014 at 05:45 AM Posted September 30, 2014 at 05:45 AM The default path for %localappdata% is C:\Users\[your-windows-username]\AppData\Local\ (Windows Vista and up) or C:\Docomeents and Settings\[your-windows-username]\Local Settings\Application Data\ (Windows XP). Try navigating to the appropriate folder, then find the vPilot subdirectory. You don't need Red Bull to get your wings.
