Matthew Schoenberg 959688 Posted March 1, 2006 at 07:27 PM Posted March 1, 2006 at 07:27 PM I am having so much fun learning VATSIM. What a great place to be a member of! I initially set up SB3 and was able to make voice contract immediately in USA-W as an Observer. I then ventured into FSInn, ServInfo and FSNavigatior. I have set up all three and have tried to coordinate them. I believe I have done that but for some reason I can not get Voice on FSInn. I have set up FSNavigator and done a Flight Plan and exported it to FSInn. I have noticed that you don't see the arrival airport on ServInfo until I get into the air. Is this correct? Also, in FSInn I have not been able to make voice contact with any of the USA servers despite the fact that it says that I am connected. Does anyone have an idea of what step most people miss here because I have tried? Didn't go to sleep last night. I can't hear anything and it looks that I am connected. I also had a question about how you get the ServInfo into the FS2004 screen while flying. Is the gauge the only way? I have set up the gauge so I do get some feedback as it shows me the number of planes flying but it does not give me any actual data. If anyone could offer any suggestions here that too would be appreciated. Sorry for the questions but I am just having a problem getting connected to Voice on FSInn. Your help and [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance is very much appreciated.
Matthew Schoenberg 959688 Posted March 2, 2006 at 01:38 AM Author Posted March 2, 2006 at 01:38 AM Everything becomes easy once you figure it out. Got the voice working...a port problem which hit me after reading some other posts. Maybe I should have done that before posting? Sorry, won't happen again hopefully. I have now also installed all the new gauges in the 737-400 panel so I think this will greatly help in getting function and information from ServInfo into the cockpit. Please let me know if this is correct or if there other ways to get more information from ServInfo while flying. If I push anything in that screen it pauses the flight simulator. All of a sudden, mabe with a download, the background color has left the FSNavigator screen. Does anyone know how to get back the background color? Thank you again.
