My new system: Unbuntu 14.04 LTS 32 bit, Nvidia, Xsaitekpanels, XSquawkbox

Let me start off by saying that I'm not a Linux geek but trying to set up a new dedicated sim anyway. The system works fine on X-plane 10.25. I can log onto Vatsim and talk to ATC with no issues. To me this means that my system is basically solid.

Same system under X-plane 10.30b7 starts but most any menu click results in a crash to desktop (CTD).

Before digging deeper into the problem I was interested to find out if anyone else is running X-plane 10.30 Beta with XSquawkbox on a Linux system. If so, what has your experience been like? What Linux are you using?

If Linux XSquawkbox won't run on X-plane 10.30 then this means that X-plane/Linux doesn't have a long term future with Vatsim. Never mind the 32 vs 64 bit Linux question.

Mods, I wasn't sure if this should be in the XSquawkbox or X-plane section. Please feel free to move.

Any suggestions or input regarding what to do would be great. Thank-you.
