Thomas Parker Posted March 3, 2006 at 04:06 AM Posted March 3, 2006 at 04:06 AM I know a couple of you fly with Benedikt Stratmann's 737.. a beautiful freeware plane. But what do you use for an FMS with it? I see advertisements for the GW-FMS. It looks to be a beauty, but it's not quite finished baking yet. I'm currently using the PMDG 737-700. Two things keep me with that.. the FMS and dual-monitor support. But I'm very quickly becoming a HUGE X-Plane fan. That's a lie.. I'm already a huge X-Plane fan. I'd like to shift over to using a 73x on X-Plane. Any ideas? Perhaps I should open up the question to Payware 73's for X-Plane too. Tom
Owen Catherwood 903683 Posted March 3, 2006 at 04:41 AM Posted March 3, 2006 at 04:41 AM There is the simpleFMC, which runs on both X-Plane and MSFS, so you could use the same FP for both sims http://sourceforge.net/projects/simplefmc KZSE C3/Facilities Administrator
Thomas Parker Posted March 3, 2006 at 05:24 PM Author Posted March 3, 2006 at 05:24 PM Owen, Thanks. Talk about not connecting the dots.. eh. I've known for a while that SimpleFMC was out there. But never investigated it because I already had what I needed. Thanks for the tip. I'll go check it out. Tom
Keith Smith Posted March 3, 2006 at 07:52 PM Posted March 3, 2006 at 07:52 PM There's also my FMS programming plugin here: http://webspace.fastp[Mod - Happy Thoughts]es.com/%7E2656/plugins/cax/fms.html It doesn't improve the stock FMS, but it makes it simple to program the existing FMS.
