Steven Perry Posted July 27, 2014 at 12:58 PM Posted July 27, 2014 at 12:58 PM Why would my FPS in Fsx reduce to the 15-20 range when my CPU and GPU are not maxed out? I ran a Prime95 stress test with all 4 cores of my i5 3570k OCed to 4.3GHz peaking at 80C. In FSX core 1 hits 56C but no higher. Other cores are near idle, as expected I suppose. My GPU only reached 60% according to nVidia Inspector. It's only a gtx 650, but it is not reaching it's potential it seems. FSX is on a SSD and I was flying in circles over NYC skyline, so I wasn't getting any buffering. Steven Perry VATSIM Supervisor
Luke Kolin Posted July 27, 2014 at 01:20 PM Posted July 27, 2014 at 01:20 PM Have you installed SP2 or do you have acceleration? Cheers! Luke ... I spawn hundreds of children a day. They are daemons because they are easier to kill. The first four remain stubbornly alive despite my (and their) best efforts. ... Normal in my household makes you a member of a visible minority.
