Greg Barber Posted August 6, 2014 at 06:57 AM Posted August 6, 2014 at 06:57 AM Just spent the last hour trying to troubleshoot with a student who was logging into sweatbox but couldn't see any of the simulated controllers or aircraft. Could connect to the main network fine. myservers.txt file was configured correctly. student could connect to my voiceroom. at one stage the student connected and I could see them, but after a few moments he disappeared again. Is there any way I can check if the student is in fact connected to sweatbox since these connections don't show up in the normal data feeds or any of the Sup tools? Does sweatbox suffer from similar server splits that we sometimes see on the main network? Colin Schoen Posted August 6, 2014 at 07:10 AM Posted August 6, 2014 at 07:10 AM Did the student see the sweatbox server in the server's list? If so, what would happen when he hit connect? Colin Schoen VATSIM Senior Network Supervisor
Colin Schoen Posted August 6, 2014 at 07:23 AM Posted August 6, 2014 at 07:23 AM (Sorted out. The student's primary vis point was out of range of the aircraft.) Colin Schoen VATSIM Senior Network Supervisor
Greg Barber Posted August 6, 2014 at 12:27 PM Author Posted August 6, 2014 at 12:27 PM Thanks for your help Colin. Don't know how many times I asked him to check is vis point and sector file.... Oh well! Never occurred to me to just log in as SUP on sweatbox and check things out.
