Scott Smith 921136 Posted March 5, 2006 at 07:06 PM Posted March 5, 2006 at 07:06 PM Mil procedures are different from Civi procedures, Controllers are limited because they must be S3 and above and also trained in military procedures. Leuchars is usually occupied once every couple of months, usually by Duncan McDonald. There have recently been some activity in mil bases across the border usually Valley. Hope that helps

Scott Smith 921136 Posted March 5, 2006 at 10:09 PM Posted March 5, 2006 at 10:09 PM Mil procedures isn't something that you could just and watch and learn, its a lot different, different circuit pattern (oval rather than rectangle) and different procedures when landing. Leuchars or Valley is probably the most occupied airfield, there are only 5 or 6 mil controllers and they dont come on much due to the lack of traffic.
