Michael Kaplan 896249 Posted March 6, 2006 at 12:37 AM Posted March 6, 2006 at 12:37 AM (edited) New York, Boston, Washington and Cleveland ARTCC's have teamed up once again to host the Nor’Easter '06! The event is scheduled to take place Saturday March 11th from 1600-2200 EST (4:00pm-10:00pm Eastern -- 2100Z-0300Z). We've teamed up to provide an experience that is truly "as real as it gets!" in the ultra-busy "North-East corridor". Controllers from the New York ARTCC will be gathering in New Jersey and members from the Boston ARTCC will be gathering in Boston to simulate actual radar rooms, controlling from consolidated locations! Feel free come test some of the busiest sectors of the USA! For more information on featured fields, including links to charts and preferred routes, please visit both http://www.bostonartcc.net and http://www.nyartcc.org/index.php/events We look forward to seeing you all there! Alex Goldstein 857161 Posted March 7, 2006 at 01:36 AM Posted March 7, 2006 at 01:36 AM It is a bit misleading, don't you think ZBW should be added to the banner so it doesn't only look like ZNY and ZDC? Matthew Kreilein 881422 Posted March 7, 2006 at 05:39 AM Posted March 7, 2006 at 05:39 AM ZNY came up with getting together and a banner, etc. about Dec 14th, picked a date, and wanted some sort of banner to promote it early. It was before we had solidified ZBW's and ZDC's official sponsor/partnership in the event and their ability to facilitate get togethers, staffing, etc. Now, we're so busy with getting all setup that banner re-design is WAY LOW on our list. However, ZBW's page is linked off ours and vice versa and I'd say ZNY/ZBW/ZDC is probably one of the strongest relationships on VATSIM as ZBW/ZDC/ZNY are all approach feeders for each other with KBOS to PCT ~350 nm as the crow flies. ZNY really doesn't care a hill about the banner...we're just looking forward to crashing the servers with our neighbors!!! Come out...it's gonna be a BLAST!!!
