Colin Schoen Posted September 11, 2014 at 12:32 AM Posted September 11, 2014 at 12:32 AM 1. I would use vPilot which is a newly released pilot client by Ross Carlson. http://vpilot.metacraft.com Colin Schoen VATSIM Senior Network Supervisor
Jouka Ahponen Posted September 11, 2014 at 12:36 AM Posted September 11, 2014 at 12:36 AM I could write a novel about this kinds of addons easily but I tried to keep it short. Anyways, 1) Recently there came a new software for FSX and P3D called vPilot. It basivally lands in between squawkbox and fsinn being easy to use but having ability to easily match your models (for example from IVAO MTL) 2) The best weather engine out there currently is Active Sky Next, hands down. Models wind, even enroute ones spot on and also engine made huge improvements for example with precipitation areas from older versions. Recommend to check their page out. Also ASN is the only weather engine currently to support new weather radars for example on PMDG B777 (coming for aerosoft airbus X and PMDG NGX, and for other addons. What I've heard that the weather radars won't work without ASN. http://www.hifitechinc.com/products/activeskynext 3) I think currently the best in this cl[Mod - Happy Thoughts] is Orbx Global + Vector. Simply one of the best ground addons available and covers whole world. Of course this comes with a big prize tag as well, unfortunately. But it's all worth it in my opinion. Hopefully this helps.
