Jay Oakley 1299775 Posted September 20, 2014 at 12:58 PM Posted September 20, 2014 at 12:58 PM Title says it all, is this add-on (http://secure.simmarket.com/eric-marciano-easy-fmc.phtml) EasyFMC any good? Does it work like the payware FMCs with the SID and STARs? Will this also work with freeware mods such as the free Justflight 757?

Daniel Katz Posted September 20, 2014 at 07:50 PM Posted September 20, 2014 at 07:50 PM I don’t use EasyFMC, but Robert gives a very thorough review in the thread Don referred to above. EasyFMC uses the navdata from FS, as opposed to updated navdata from Navigraph, so updating the FS navdata (using the tools Don mentioned in that thread) would be a very good idea or you will be missing an awful lot of fixes. Once the navdata is updated you will be able to fly RNAV SIDs and STARs but you’ll need to enter the waypoints from the charts; Robert mentioned in his review there’s no way to add the departure or arrival procedures as a unit in one step (or you can import a flight plan containing a SID/STAR, as he describes).
