Pavel Brodsky Posted September 24, 2014 at 06:57 PM Posted September 24, 2014 at 06:57 PM Hello, just a quick idea - maybe we could try using the realistic mode S when new pilot client comes out? There could be sent some additional data from that software like IAS, HDG, QNH, V/S, etc like they are sent in real mode S, maybe even via some external server if VATSIM FSD dont support that... It would be extremely cool to have those data on radar like the real ATCos. Pavel Pavel Brodsky VACC-CZ
Pierre Ferran Posted September 25, 2014 at 03:41 PM Posted September 25, 2014 at 03:41 PM I'm with you on that, a full mode S support would be amazing. The thing you have to keep in mind thought, is that many countries uses mode S correlation, but don't use the enriched information the mode S transmits such as the selected FL and all that. So a full mode S support would only concerne a few countries. Still, would be a nice addition. vSMR Plugin for EuroScope
Pavel Brodsky Posted September 25, 2014 at 08:19 PM Author Posted September 25, 2014 at 08:19 PM Air Navigation Services of Czech Republic has implemented full support few years ago... When I see the real datatag which checks if pilot has correctly set autopilot, QNH, gives me his HDG, IAS, etc without asking, it just rocks. Of course correlation is already available in ES, but its only a fraction of Sierra functionality Pavel Pavel Brodsky VACC-CZ
