Ryan Fredericks Posted October 20, 2014 at 03:58 AM Posted October 20, 2014 at 03:58 AM (edited) Just bought the Aerosoft A319 (2014 edition), I am having a issue with the transponder, say i set it to 2000 it resets to 1200, and I don't know why it does that? Has anyone ever had that problem? I am using it with vPilot. Edited October 20, 2014 at 08:39 PM by Guest
Davor Kusec 990407 Posted October 20, 2014 at 03:43 PM Posted October 20, 2014 at 03:43 PM Are you keying in the full squawk code (as in typing in 2000) instead of just changing the 12 to 20 from the first two numbers? Scott Norton 1241275 Posted October 22, 2014 at 11:42 PM Posted October 22, 2014 at 11:42 PM Pretty much what Davor said. In order for the code to hold in the bus, all four digits (including trailing zeros) must be entered. If fewer than 4 digits have been entered and more than 10 seconds p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] without further input, the transponder code will reset to its previous value. This is different from Boeing aircraft where each digit has its own dial (two pairs coaxial), or from Embraer aircraft where each pair of digits has a separate yet coaxial dial. You don't need Red Bull to get your wings.
