Jason Garrett Posted March 10, 2006 at 08:24 PM Posted March 10, 2006 at 08:24 PM I constintly forget to go "Charlie". I use FSINN and didnt seem to find a proper place to suggest a really good fearture for the next version, If there is going to be one. what we need for us FSINN users, is an alarm that tells us to go charlie when the plane lifts off. Now I know this isnt a concern for those flying in controled areas. When you take off from a noncontroled area it is easy to forget about the "Charlie". Does Squakbox have this feature? Ruth McTighe 824054 Posted March 10, 2006 at 10:28 PM Posted March 10, 2006 at 10:28 PM If you aren't flying a plane which has an automatic sqauwk mode charlie on take-off, then the best time to turn the transponder on is when you are about to line up on the runway. Make it part of your standard check prior to lining up. If you leave it till when you are airborne and worrying about flyign the SID, cleaning up, and changing radio frequency, it's just another thing to distract you.
