FSCopilot not connecting to FSX problem

Hello all,

 

I have recently bought a new PC, I have installed FSX from scratch and then installed my aircraft and scenery on there. I have however had a problem with connecting to the vatsim network. Everything works fine up until I reach the point of pressing on the VATSIM button on the FSinn control panel. The FSinn control panel does not display any of the options on the left hand side at all, and the FSinn button at the top of the control panel goes orange one the aircraft loading has completed. I then click on the FSDT Control Panel in my taskbar and it says that "FS with FScopilot isnt connected. Start FS or check configuration." I have tried this with my firewall being disabled and still doesent run. I have also went into every program for FSinn and FScopilot and told them to run as Administrator, and I am the administrator, but it still happens. I am not sure if i should try get it to connect directly to FS using the options. Any help appreciated.

I have also went into every program for FSinn and FScopilot and told them to run as Administrator

 

this would be one clue. only 2 things need to run as admin, FSX and FSINNUI. leave the rest alone

 

make sure your FSX.exe properties looks like the illustration in the following link.

dont set FSINNUI to run as admin from the properties, just right click FSINN UI and select run as admin from the dropdown

Hi,

 

I did exactly as you have said and still it does not work. FSinn does not have any problems connecting, it is just FS with FSCopilot. When I try to launch FSinn UI from my start menu it pops up but this time the FSinn and mCP buttons are red, as well as not having any buttons on the left side of the control panel.

Disregard that last message, I do not know what was causing it to happen, but I tried the vPilot client to connect to the Vatsim network and it is working with no problems what so ever!
